Shopping Cart: Olympic store at Heathrow
With the run-up to the olympics instensifying, a special store dedicated to London 2012 merchandise has opened in Heathrow’s Terminal 5….
Departing travellers will be able to chose from a host of items including T-shirts, sweat-shirts, mugs, badges, toys – most of them branded with with the olympics logo.
The airport store, the first of its kind, is at a prime site in the airside departures areaand was doing brisk business in its first week of opening.
Paul Deighton, London Olympics Committee CEO, said: ‘Our new flagship shop offers a unique opportunity for London 2012 to connect to UK travellers and international visitors, offering them a great chance to take home a piece of the Games. The range of products on offer is huge and the diversity really means there is something for everyone – from pocket-money toys to collectables.’
